Sinopsis:

Basada en la Novela de Winston Groom. Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) es un chico con deficiencias mentales no muy profundas y con alguna incapacidad motora que, a pesar de todo, llegará a convertirse, entre otras cosas, en un héroe durante la Guerra del Vietnam. Su persistencia y bondad le llevarán a conseguir una gran fortuna, ser objeto del clamor popular y a codearse con las más altas esferas sociales y políticas del país. Siempre sin olvidar a Jenny (Robin Wright Penn), su gran amor desde que era niño. Forrest Gump es un simple y tierno personaje cuyo demoledor sentido común, y la aplicación de los más sencillos valores y conceptos vitales, le permiten vivir insospechadas y divertidas peripecias. Mientras, la narración de todos los acontecimientos que disfruta -cual bombones de una caja- nos muestra un recorrido por la historia reciente de los Estados Unidos. Una original comedia llena de encanto y de excelente factura que obtuvo un gran éxito de crítica y público.
